I studied physics at Wuhan University. Alongside the equations and theory, I kept coming back to circuits, programming, and hardware. Once I started working in a lab, those interests naturally ended up in the same projects.
Quantum-optics experiments come with very concrete engineering questions: Is the timing accurate enough? Is the signal processing fast enough? Can the setup run the same way every time? FPGAs are a good fit for many of these problems, which is why I enjoy working with them.
This site is where I keep notes on physics, mathematics, and engineering. Many posts first appeared on Zhihu and were later moved here.
